This is my favorite paper airplane. The kids get a kick out of it because it can do loops, fly in circles and return to the thrower like a boomerang.

Step 1.
On an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of paper. The 11" is the height and the 8 1/2" is the width. Fold the top left hand corner down until it meets evenly to the right side of the paper.

Step 2.
Unfold the paper and do the same procedure only in the opposite direction.

Step 3.
Open the paper so the creases you have made, you will now see "X".  Carefully bring the middle of the right and left sides together and allow the bottom crease create the bottom part of the triangle then flatten down the top to create the final layered triangle.

Next fold down the top of the triangle so it touches the bottom line of the large triangle.

The upside down triangle will have pockets on both sides. Fold in half the loose edges on the left and right side to make small triangles and then stuff the triangles into the pockets as far as you can.

Step 4.
After you have folded the little triangle into the pockets then you need to fold the airplane in half.

Then fold the left side down leaving a bit at the bottom. Turn the plane over and repeat on the right.

Step 5.
Fold the tip of the wing up just a little once and then do it once more and duplicate on the other wing.  Don't forget to raise the flaps up just a little to get it to do aerobatics.
