Who wants to play Hopscotch? Submitted by: Doug Warburton
OK, what ya need is some chalk. Crayola make some great side walk stuff. Nice and big for those little hands to hold. (Caution--keep out of the rain, it does not react well to water or snow.) This is also good for drawing on the drive way and on sidewalks. Try and make sure that it doesn't color the walls of the house too often... However, it will wash off with a hose, and maybe a bit of a scrub with a broom, so don't worry too much.OK, so if you have a little girl or two or more, even boys can learn this and have some fun. It helps them with motor skills and how to count. I know, learning without knowing they are being taught!!! So cool! So now you need to make some squares and start with a big one...this will be number one. then another or two together. Make sure you follow with the numbers! (kinda important for the counting thing!!) I went to 40, I thought they were going to lose their minds!!! Yeah, I know, but hey, makes them think!! Make it as long or short as you want. Trust me, they will love this. Also, it does not have to be in a straight line, so make it curve if you want or need too!! You also have to show them how to play, so don't be shy of the big guy jumping around and throwing a stone out there and hopping along. No one will judge you for loving and playing with your kids. Memories, go for the Gold!! And have fun loving and helping learn. Most of all, have fun loving! From one Dad to another Dad. There are no comments yet! You could be the first. |
