What to have for dessert?

Well, does everyone have dessert? No, not everyone, or maybe not all the time. Who can say! But I will share one of mine.

I usually do this when I am camping because it's a bigger treat than if we had it at home. And really, I think it will make them remember these times with me when they are older. Hopefully!

This is really super simple and can be very quick. Most of prep work can be done at home and then just go camping, or what ever it is you want to do!

First you need some tin foil, some zip lock bags and a knife. You guys ready, I'm getting hungry just writing this!

Grand Marnie (for adults only) Raspberry syrup works well or even some more chocolate...anything works.

Okay, now you need some brownies, homemade or store bought. Either one will do. Depending on how many are in the group, one for each. If I make them at home, I like to cut the on the larger size! Once cut, place into a zip lock bag.

Next are the peaches. One or two should do. You will want to peel them, gives everything a nicer look. After peeling, slice them in half and remove the pit and then slice them into slices; place them in the zip lock bag. If you are going to use them the next day, put them in the refrig until you are ready to go.

Almond Roca is next. I find them at the store, seems easier than trying to make it! Put just a few into a zip lock...then CRUSH them...Careful on smashing too much, you don't want to bust the bag open and then have to clean that up! Just make them small so they have some size left.

Vanilla Ice-cream is next. I have learned that you can take store bought ice-cream, put it into a mixer for just a few minutes with the "Paddle" mixer and amazingly it comes out tasting like home made. You are just adding in some air to fluff it and it kind of smoothes out a bit. If you want to make home made, knock yourself out.

So now it is time for DESSERT!

Take your brownie and if you have a campfire going, wrap it in tin foil and put it close to heat...I said close, not in or on. Let it warm for a few minutes while you get the rest of the stuff from the cooler and your ice cream from the car. Next, after the brownie(s) are warm, take the ice cream and scoop some into the middle of the brownie. It will start to melt and that's fine. Place peach slices around the ice cream and then sprinkle Almond Roca over the top. Finish all this with a splash of Grand marnie or syrup!! You are done! You may then tell everyone...IT IS TIME FOR DESSERT!!"
