Great learning educational websites for infants and toddlers Submitted by: Kevin Chertkow
I was sitting at my desk working when my two year old son walks up to me and says, "Daddy, I hold you?" I smile and pull him into my lap and figured it was a perfect time to take a break. His older brother and sister were out doing older kid stuff, so I took the opportunity to have some daddy son time with just him. He pointed at my computer and said, "Play?" So, I thought I would search the net for activities we could play together on-line. We had a great time playing and learning from some the sites I've listed below. His vocabulary is not very large, so I was surprised on how many new words he learned while playing these simple games. Fisher-Price - http://www.fisher.price.com Play and learn with your child online! Our online games and learning activities are a great way to spend quality time with your child. Have fun with these online activities, and remember: whether your child is an infant, toddler or preschooler, it's important to let him learn at his own pace! Fun With Spot - http://www.funwithspot.com Eric Hill is the creator of Spot, who appeared in his first story, 'Where's Spot?' in 1980 and quickly became one of the best-loved pre-school characters of all time. Today Spot's adventures remain incredibly popular and are enjoyed the world over. Disney's Playhouse - http://tv.disney.go.com What more can one say... It's Disney. KneeBouncers - http://www.kneebouncers.com/ KneeBouncers was created for the ittiest of the bittiest. Their goal is to provide you and your family with a whole lot of thumping, bumping, crashing, bashing, smashing, splashing, popping, bopping, wiggling and especially giggling. KneeBouncers.com. A whole lot of fun for the itty bitty ones! BabyTV - http://www.babytv.com/games.aspx During the day BabyTV features short programmes interluded by clips of favourite Children's Songs. The daytime schedule is active, engaging and fun, and geared to promote interaction. At night, BabyTV broadcasts soft music and gently moving visuals designed to help soothe waking babies and create a calm atmosphere in the home. The programmes featured on BabyTV are part of their rich and diverse library of dedicated content for infants and toddlers. BabyTV's library features many original series that have been created by their dedicated team and which address the entire spectrum of early learning skills and development milestones that infants and toddlers encounter in their first years. Pocoyo - http://www.pocoyo.com/v2/home.php or http://www.pocoyoworld.com/ This is a great site for toddler activities/printables as well as for young children to play many child friendly games. MiniMops - http://www.minimops.com/ These friendly doodles and scribbles sprung to life one day, and ever since they've been busy playing games, making music and crafting art. Now, the Minimops are inviting all children to come play with them on the little piece of paper they call home. This website was designed with care to provide fun games and activities to children from 2 to 5 years old. Their aim is to encourage little ones to learn through free play and experimentation, at their own pace. Crayola - http://www.crayola.com/gamesfun/index.cfm?n_id=2 Great fun from the creators of Crayola Mothergoose - http://www.mothergoose.com/index.htm All sorts of games, printables, videos and Nursery Rhymes. ![]()

website: sydanddensdad.blogspot.com/ Thanks, these should be really helpful. My little boy gets really jealous when his big sister gets to play on the computer and he gets told he's too little. Thanks again. http://sydanddensdad.blogspot.com/
