Keep your child safe on field trips

Submitted by: Doug Warburton

Keep your child safe on field trips How many times have you sent your child(ren) on a group field? You watch a group of excited children laughing, playing and singing and thought to yourself "I don't envy the parents/teachers who volunteered for that chaos." As they drive away with one of the most important things in your life you start to contemplate, do they have enough supervision for all those children? What happens if they're busy with one child and mine gets left behind? Maybe you should have gone with them just to make sure your child makes it home safely.

Well, I don't think there is a parent out there that doesn't worry about their child at some point no matter how great or how many parents are there to keep every child safe and accounted for. It is the spiral of "what if's" that will drive you crazy. What if little Johnny gets separated from the group? What if he doesn't make it on the bus back home? What if he's around a bunch of strangers, alone, scared, crying and doesn't know how to get home or who to call. You could worry yourself crazy until little Johnny is back home safely, in your arms.

Well, I had a great opportunity to get to know a wonderful young man by the name of Steven Gordon. He has invented a great product that can help any parent have a little more piece of mind when they send their child on an outing. One of the unique things about Steven is, he isn't even a parent yet. His inspiration was from caring about his little brother.

Okay, I know you're wondering, what is this brilliant thing Steven has invented, but first let me tell you a little about this wonderful young man. I had an opportunity to talk with Steven Gordon and he told me about how TattooId was born.

"There has always been something wrong with child safety." Steven says, "Growing up, my parents would always have to put my information on a piece of paper and slip it into my pocket whenever we were ready to go on a trip. Even the field trips in elementary school were somewhat difficult to enjoy with that bright yellow name tag that everyone in my class had glued to their shirt. It was even worse when it would fall off and I had to listen to the teacher's lecture about how I shouldn't be peeling it. I was just a kid."

Now that Steven is older he looks back on those days with a different outlook. "I understand why my parents and my teachers would do that. They worry. Now that I have a younger brother, I do too. Children are naturally curious and they can't help but wander off and explore. And it's also natural for guardians to want to, well, "guard" them. As parents, siblings, and caretakers, we always want to put our children first."

Steven makes custom non-permanent Tattoos. He can make the tattoos in any way, shape or form with any design. All anyone has to do is let him know what they want. He can make as many or as few depending on the need. This is a great idea if your child is going on a class or church trip and is especially great for those with special needs at just about any age. The safety and wellness of your loved ones is something that Steven values immensely and the added security that TattooId provides a little more piece of mind that many of us could benefit from.
