Breast Cancer Awareness Submitted by: Doug Warburton
Breast Cancer. It doesn't include men! Right? Wrong. It affects both genders. The reality is that women are more aware of it than most men, because maybe that they address it and are more aware of it. The majority of men do not because men, and fathers, don't think that it could happen to them. Okay, so the truth will hurt, but men can get or have or will have breast cancer. This is not a statement, but a fact. If you don't believe me, just go the National Cancer Institute web site (www.cancer.gov) and look things up for your self. New cases for 2010 are that 207,090 women have been diagnosed with Breast Cancer ( We aren't at the end of this year yet..). For men...1,970. Deaths from Breast Cancer....(as of right now) Women, 39,840 Men...390 Statistics show that yes, more women than men have or can get breast cancer, but men are not out of the picture either. There is a point and that is that anyone can have breast cancer and it can be life threating and it will take someone away from you that you love. It can be stopped in cases, but early notice is a key in preventing. Learn what is known. Please support Breast Cancer Awareness and show your support. It may affect someone that you don't know, but you can also support someone you never knew or even someone you thought that it wouldn't happen too! Dad to the Bone is a Proud supporter of Breast Cancer awareness and the American Breast Cancer Association and the National Cancer Institute! Please participate in supporting a cause that might benefit someone you love, do know, or do not know. Perhaps it might even be you... There are no comments yet! You could be the first. |
